Document File Guidelines

ACCEPTED FILE TYPES:

•  Ai. [Adobe Illustrator]

• EPS. [Encapsulated Post Script]

• PDF. [Portable Document Format]

• TIFF. [Tagged Image Format File]

- All files must be built in CMYK [Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black].

- Please convert all fonts to Outlines and embed all images and objects.

 

WE DO NOT ACCEPT:

Quality is our top priority so to ensure we meet or exceed your standards we do not accept graphics or files in: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, Corel Draw. Adobe products are preferred for artwork creation.

 

VECTOR GRAPHICS:

Please ensure all fonts are converted to outlines and embed all images. If contour cut is required, please include layer labeled “contour cut line”.

 

RASTERIZED GRAPHICS:

When submitting rasterized files please submit as a layered .PSD [Photoshop] file or flattened .TIFF [Tagged Image Format File] for best results.

All files must be built in CMYK [Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black] with all fonts converted to outlines.

 

SIZE | BLEED AREA:

• All files must be submitted at 100% scale if program allows or at 10% if necessary.

When submitting raster files at 10% scale, please adjust DPI to match image.

[example: 72dpi at 100% = 720 dpi at 10%]

Image bleeds must be included with submitted files.

Business cards: 1/4 inch • Banners: 1 inch • Contour Cut Pieces: 1/4 inch. Please give us a call for correct bleed area needed on your project.

 

RESOLUTION:

• No less than 72 dpi: Vehicle Graphics | Outdoor Graphics | Banners | Signage | Window Graphics

• No less than 100 dpi: Close view items such as: Displays | Sightline Signage | Business cards | Flyers | Backlit |

   Menus | Etc.

 

COLORS:

• Please build files in CMYK [Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black]

• If PMS [Pantone Match System] colors are used please let us know by pointing them out and requested a color

   match print proof. Please note that not all PMS colors are achievable with process color printing but we will

   match it as close as possible.

• When dealing with [Solid Blacks], please specify the exact color needed to ensure we meet your expectations.

• CMYK is preferred in the creation of the file as RGB files may shift in color or lose vibrancy.
